First Up... Day One

FIRST UP... DAY ONE

This thing needed a serious tire upgrade!  While we had opted for the upgraded Method Race Wheels, the included BF Goodrich 245/70 R17 all-terrain tires were just not up to our liking for the look we were after.  We made our first pit stop at the truck scale to weigh in with an initial weight of 7980# at delivery.  We were then off to the tire shop!  We already had experience with the aggressive Goodyear MT/R tire, as we have them on both of our 4-Runners already.  It was a no brainer that these would be the ones to begin the process to transform our Revel into the monster we were trying to create.  The biggest advantage to this tire is the fact the the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's are built with a kevlar sidewall.  This gives the tire extra stability and added support for the heavy load it was not only going to be rolling down the road with, but would also be subjected to off-road use.

LEFT - Before photo as we began prepping our new toy the day after we brought it home.

CENTER - Wheel spacers from Agile Off-Road were installed along with locking lug nuts to hold on the new Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 275-70R17 tires on the Method aluminum rims.

RIGHT - We have added some WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors.  Also, the front fenders got some added protection from some Terra Wagon Fender Flares.

The spare tire rack was also modified during this time to fit a full size spare thanks to Agile Off-Road Spare Tire Rack Extensions. We always have our tires bead balanced for continual balancing.  No more worries about the sticker weights falling off, which could lead to early tire replacement because of an unbalanced tire.  We have been keeping tire pressure in the front at about 49psi and the rear at about 70psi.
