Extend-A-Shower

Extend-A-Shower:

(1) Camco EXT3542S Extend-A-Shower made by Stromberg Carlson

The bathroom as you all know is rather cozy, especially when trying to use the shower. We purchased one of the Camco extend-a-shower rods and modified it to work in our revel. They come in a satin nickel finish that matches other accessories we already have as well.

For mounting you are able to utilize two of the side mounting holes inside the shower near the top. Then all you need to do is add an additional screw to each side to complete the mounting of the support ends. The only modification I had to make to the existing shower was moving the top hinge of the door down one set of mounting holes to make room for the shower bar to fully swivel in and out.

You will need to cut the bars to length to work in the Revel. Each bar is held in place by a screw. Simply remove the screw, cut the bar to length and then reassemble. The bar lengths that I used are 16-1/4" for the front and 8-5/8" for the sides. The bar fits perfectly with just a slight tension as you lock it in the outward position keeping it in place. The rear hinge actually stops against the door frame keeping it nicely in place while extended. (Note: You will need to tighten the screws back into place with a power screw driver as you need to dimple the bar with the screw back in place. You won't be able to do it with just a screwdriver.)

Great Mod! Quick and easy deployment and adds some much needed elbow room. It can also double as a quick curtain for just using the restroom as well.
As always, if you have any questions, just let me know.
ENJOY your new bathroom!
